Ketchup is one of the most wonderful things known to man. It’s the king of condiments and goes great with almost everything. I absolutely love ketchup. I mean, I’m even a ketchup snob. I totally look down upon anyone who uses anything other than Heinz and people who refrigerate their ketchup. That’s almost as bad as screwing up homophones. Seriously, it’s one of my top 10 favorite things ever (next to sweet tea, of course).

So, naturally, I was really shocked when I heard there was a new ketchup packet. After all these years, I can’t believe they would go and change the classic, familiar ketchup packet. And then I saw this wonderful diagram and realized: this is going to change the world.

First of all, it’s triple the capacity — triple! For someone who routinely has to ask for more ketchup, this is a blessing. Secondly, it’s multi-functional: you can dip and squeeze! There’s no more need for those egregious tiny paper cups. These new packets mean serious business. And they didn’t make it small, either. The orifice through which dipping occurs is so big that almost everything I can think of will fit right in.

I am so super stoked for this. I think it might even be more revolutionary than the iPad — and that’s saying a lot.

I honestly never thought I’d live to see this day. The Saints are going to the Superbowl and I literally couldn’t be more proud of Brees and the team. Congratulations, boys — bring home the trophy!

I started a tumblr as a little place to track my travels. I’m kicking it off with my trip to DC that starts tomorrow. You can follow it all here.

I own about 20 domains and until fairly recently some of those have been serving the default registrar parking page. See, I have this problem of impulsively buying domains. Brandy thinks it’s an addiction, but I have good intentions for all of them—there’s just not enough hours in the day. Some of them may or may not be projects that are currently in the works, but it’ll be some time before any are launched. However, I spent a few minutes today putting up some ‘parking pages’ for them. I doubt any of them generate a significant amount of traffic, but I thought it’d be nice to at least have them display my name. Plus, they all serve from the same place so I can easily make changes across the board.

Brandy Ryan and I put together a site out of our frustration from people continually screwing up homophones, the most basic grammar you learn in elementary school. This was a quick project. It’s a single-serving site and meant to be taken as satire, however we’re legit: learn your damn homophones.

This is a cheap top that I got as a handout at some conference. It has a special place on my desk because it happens to be one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Of course, physics easily explains this really awesome phenomena. I remember doing this in high school Bonus points to whomever solves it first.
